Fresh.

Fresh, thats how I feel right now. The stress over studies for the past few weeks has finally been lifted. The long awaited june break is here. Life has pretty hectic since the start of the academic year, my last year under the public school system. Gasp! Its been long, going through 12 years in the education system. I still remember my primary school days, playing soccer during recess with emptied plastic bottles. We weren’t allowed to bring soccer balls to school so we had to resort to such a quirky replacement! Initially, we tried the colourful paper balls which you could blow air and ping pong balls but they were all crushed amidst the stomping of restless boys. Also, the only period we would look forward to was science when our teacher would bring us to the computer lab just because he could. We would chant,” Com lab! Com lab! Com lab! “, when he entered the class. In the computer lab, I was introduced to games like runescape, battleon and some teen titans game on the cartoon network website. Okay enough digressing, this post isn;t about my primary school life.

Anyway, my June holidays was kickstarted with a day with my favourite girl:) Accompanied her to the polyclinic, followed by lunch at Long John Silvers and then we went to watch Dark Shadows. Starting to like Johnny Depp and all the characters he portrayed in his movies. I like the roles he choose, which aren;t the usual kick-butt or romantic guy roles. His characters are usually one with a weird personality, for example, Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Jack Sparrows in Pirates of The Carribean. Many more movies to catch during this break and hopefully I’ll get to catch some with my favourite girl! Recently, I’ve found a new respect for individuals who have their personal style and interests. Though it might not be popular, yet they still embrace it. Takes a lot of courage to stand by your beliefs and goals. 

Looking forward to the activities up ahead in June. Summer camp with Eleanor tomorrow. Wonder what the kids would be like. GDOP on sunday at Trinity @ Paya Lebar. Bailamos with Eleanor on thursday. Bali with the family from the 7th to 12th. Hopefully i’ll get to go white water rafting, gotta do some research soon. Followed by volleyball chalet on 14th and 15th. Not forgetting, the dates with Eleanor:)

Gonna maximise this June by getting some rest (maybe some shopping hehe) and also reviewing my J1 topics. After the sweet June break would be the onslaught of never-ending workload and stress from academics. It would definitely be a tough challenge, but its the challenges, uncertainties and triumphs that makes life so interesting right? Stoked for upcoming events in life!
